It was a bold move to replace the original Angel with an updated version. The Angel has been one of our best-selling reels and been a great favourite on stillwaters and rivers. But we knew it could be improved. Improvements to the internal and external construction of the Angel 2 bring real benefits when fishing. Redesigning the clutch housing means a toolless left/right conversion takes only seconds instead of minutes. The concealed check system improves the already trusted and dependable Rulon drag. A new all metal handle with a reverse screw fitting increases strength and durability. A brilliant reel made better. The two Angel Featherweights are designed for smaller, lighter rods with the most sensitive of click checks to protect the lightest of tippets.
